When a zip is worth replacing
If the fabric, lining and hardware around the zip are in good condition, replacement is almost always worth it. On leather jackets, coats and quality denim, a professional zip replacement can add years of life to a favourite piece.
Common zip replacements we handle
Jeans and trousers: a straightforward job usually completed within a couple of days.
Leather and biker jackets: a more involved repair because the zip is often set into a leather facing — but one we do frequently.
Dresses, skirts and coats: invisible zips need to be matched carefully to the original for a seamless finish.
Boots and bags: we replace zips in leather boots and handbags too, subject to inspection.
Our process
Bring the garment in and one of our tailors will inspect it and give you a fixed quote. If you're happy, we'll match the zip weight and colour and complete the repair — usually within 3–5 working days.
